Each time this year we present a Special Service Award to one of our employees. Ms. Pat Goodes, Office Manager at Lee County Clinic is this year’s recipient. This award is a very high honor, because your co-workers nominate you. I want you to hear what some of her co-workers had to say:
“She is highly self motivated and skillful, not only in accomplishing the responsibilities associated with her position, but in managing consumers, staff, and therapist’s concerns in a thoughtful, intelligent and efficient manner. I have witnessed her investing uncommon time and energy to make sure our clinic functions smoothly”
“Pat is the most organized and efficient front office staff we’ve ever had here. She knows everything! She handles the staff and consumers with affection, caring and aplomb. She always goes the extra mile—she works hard, she’s willing to learn she’s a true gem.”
“Pat is a wonderful hardworking individual who has done and is doing a great job at Lee County Clinic. She works hard, long hours without complaint. Sometimes, I don’t see how she works at that pace day after day.
We really appreciate all she does for LCC”
“Pat was one of the stars in our computer training class this summer, had a great attitude about learning something new, and was one of the first to want to implement it in her clinic.”
When we were going through some of our trials with the neighborhoods in Opelika, which we’ll talk about in a minute, Pat was still fairly new to our Center. It felt like she’d been there forever though. She would always ask me how it was going, and was just as concerned about it as if it were her responsibility.
All this, though is from her supervisors her coworkers and me. Knowing Pat, though there is something that will mean much more to her. I want to read you what one of our consumers put in the suggestion box:
“Ms. Pat needs to be made a Manager (course she already is a manager, she just doesn’t flaunt it) or given the Customer Service award of the year.
She has not once been rude or ugly to me. If she was having a bad day, she never, never let the clients know. She is a Godsend. Keep her happy. When I was in true mental pain, but did not know, she picked up on it. I hated her for calling me but she kept me from doing something to hurt myself later.” And then she signed her name!
I can’t say it any better than that, Pat, Congratulations on being selected the Special Service Award Winner for 2002.
